Another day, another emotion

I was ready to walk away from the situation with the two boys but today my feelings have changed. We are going to request more current information on them as the vast majority of their file was not very current and also request an in-person meeting with their foster parents. I don't know if DFCS will be will be willing to set up the meeting or not this early into ballgame but it is worth a try. I really feel the meeting is a "MUST" in determining if we want to pursue these boys. After all, no one knows the little guys better than them!

I spoke to a new friend, Lisa, last night that adopted two older boys a few years ago. There are a lot of similarities in her situation and this one. She was very encouraging and inspiring. Recently, I had a decorating party at my home and the presenter had worked with Lisa at one time. I was telling this lady that we were trying to adopt and she put me in touch with Lisa. It sure is funny how things can work out. I know that God puts people in your path and life for a reason.

For the last two days I have been thinking about brokenness then everywhere I have turned today I have heard about it. First, our preacher spoke it about it tonight. Some great people go through such terrible stuff in their lives for reasons we don't understand but a person must have faith and trust that "God has orchestrated everything in our lives for our good." I just read a blog that I'm following where I copied the last quote. I started crying because the adoptive father had blogged about the same topic.

So today, I'm feeling hopeful...
