Update

Ok... it has been a while since I blogged. No real reason as to why I haven't updated other than nothing was really moving for us on the adoption front so nothing to really blog about!

I have been working on organization around the house and trying to establish a "routine." I use the word routine loosely though. Like I have said before, we have been very fly by the seat of britches kind of people. On Memorial Day, I reorganized my entire closet. I have been washing a small load of clothes at least every other day. I have been going grocery shopping once a week and eating more at home...and eating breakfast! Gosh, that really makes me sound like a horrible person but with it just being two of us, it is so easy to just coast and not have to do those things. Our house is clean but my drawers and closets are not organized...at all but I have been working on it! Anyway, we have been "nesting" and are still waiting on our little birdies!

Recently, I did learn that the three little cuties in Arizona had found a family. Of course, I'm glad for them and wish and pray for the best for all parties involved. However, I was disappointed. I felt like their Case Worker had sort of lead me on all the way to the end and I really didn't appreciate that. But then on the other hand, I guess the false hope made another month of waiting more bearable!

We did attend DFCS picnic last weekend. Just trying to get out there and show our faces and mingle with the Case Workers. There were a bunch of cute kiddos running around and that too was encouraging!

Summer is here and I really pray that we get placed this summer. It would be so nice to have a little time to settle in before school starts.

I took the day off today from work to go to the doctor for my thyroid. I pray that I get some answers today. I really needed a break from work also so I decided to take a vacation day so I wouldn't be rushed and could do some errands and just enjoy the day. I'm so glad it is going to be a beautiful hot, sunny day in the deep South!

  1. Do you have thyroid issues? I have been on Synthroid for the past 11 years...diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 1998 after my first pregnancy....
