Today, my mother and I took my 3 year old niece, Zoe, to a birthday party. Her parents were busy today so we got the privilege of taking her to Buddy Bear Station (or something like that). It was wild...it was miserable. It wasn't nice like some of the other places we have been. Very unorganized and chaotic. I did learn that while 3 year olds are adorable, they are probably still too babyish for me.

That being said, I really would like to adopt an older child or children. Billy and I both agree on the age but just not the quantity! Our home study is for ages 0-12 years old and up to three kids, however, he really only wants one child and is willing to compromise with two. I on the other hand want three kids. I mean after all...if you are going to do something, then DO IT BIG!

I always have thought I would like to have three kids but realistically, I knew that I didn't have it in me to go through three pregnancies and infants so I kind of gave up the idea. But with adoption, it's is like "Shhaaazzzam...and instant family!"

Sibling groups are harder to place and there is nothing like sibling comrade especially after these children have already lost so much. So since I would miss out on all the early years in an adopted child's life, then at least I would have a lot of children to enjoy the later years with! Right?

Reason's why Shana wants 3 kids:

1. We have a large home and plenty of room for three
2. We don't have other children
3. We can afford three kids
4. Our families are small and it would be nice to add three more people to them
5. Three kids would keep us busy and there would be no time for idle minds
6. We could influence three lives

I'm sure there are more but it's late and I'm sure I will think of more reasons tomorrow. But in the meantime, I guess I'll have to continue to work on ye ole Billy Boy. Besides, he has always told me that I could have anything that I want!
